Cowboy Dueling is an exciting part of the history of Fort Worth, Texas. The most famous duel in Fort Worth history was the
Luke Short-Jim Courtright Duel(gunfight), which took place on February 8, 1887, in the notorious Hell's Half Acre district. This shootout is one of the few confirmed face-to-face duels in Old West history, and it made national headlines. Now, you can experience the thrill and excitement of an Old Weat duel just a short distance from where this famous duel took place.

Nowhere else in the world offers this kind of heartpounding experience than the World-Famous Stockyards. Face off against friends or challenge our professional gunfighters for the chance to win up to $5,000!

Not only is doing a duel an exciting life experience, but watching is a blast, too! Scope out your next challenge or enjoy music and drinks in Fort Wort’s craziest and most intense experience.

PopSafe blanks are totally safe. Additionally, the revolvers are fixed with a perment barricade to prevent a live round from being loaded (no Alec Baldwin mishaps!). In the end, you walk away with an experience you won’t soon forget.
A ”Toe Match” is for someone that just wants to get their toes wet and try it out!
$20 per person
A ”Money Match” is when two competitors compete for a cash prize from $150 to $10,000.
$100 minimum entry, no limit
Challenge one of our gunfighters and if you win, you will get 5 times your entry fee in cold, hard cash. But be wary; we’re really good!
$100 minimum entry, no limit
Both competitors will face each other in a 21 foot duel.
Each competitor will be required to remain inside a 3 foot hula-hoop. If you step out of bounds during the 3-second round, you will incur a penalty.
Each competitor will be provided with a .38 special revolver (modified so a live round cannot be loaded) and 6 rounds of PopSafe blanks.
Our Gunfight Marshals will load each weapon and provide it to competitors once the match is about to begin. Competitors may not load, unload, or otherwise manipulate the firearm themselves. All actions will be conducted by the Gunfight Marshal to ensure complete safety.
There are 4 penalties that will result in a point being awarded to your opponent:
Competitors may draw from the “Law Man Ready” position (hand on the gun).
A head balloon is worth 2 points. A belly balloon is worth 1 point. If both a head balloon and a belly balloon are popped, it will be scored as 1 point (what we call a stray shot). The competitor with the highest points at the end of 6 rounds is the winner.
In the event of a tie, the match will move to sudden death where one shot will be loaded in each gun and the winner of that round will be determined the winner.
Any competitor not conducting themselves in a safe manner when handling a firearm will be immediately disqualified and ejected from competing. We take safety seriously and you must as well.
Texas State Law prohibits individuals with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08%. We do breathalize, so our advice is wait to consume alcohol until after you compete.

Trigger Word is an exciting new game of wits and skill. Up to 10 people compete in a “last man standing” game where the Agitator and the Defender compete in a duel of words that leads to a gunfight. When will the Agitator take his aggression to the next level? Will you be fast enough to defeat him? If you are the last man standing, you take home a pot up to $750!
See how Trigger Word works!
